Slipper

Slipper is a mare, just a little past middle age. She has had one foal, and a succesful career as a riding club and dressage horse before she started her therapy work. She has already done at least a hundred sessions. She is very safe, and deeply compassionate.

Julia Farrants

Julia first worked in Youth and Community work in the 1990's, with Youth Clubs, Young Offenders, and Substance Misuse. She has been an acupuncturist for the last ten years, and runs a busy private practice in Hebden Bridge, and has also been working with Substance Misuse as an acupuncturist since 1999. She also worked as a polo groom for about seven years, and has always been horse-mad. Julia has been working in Equine Assisted Learning since about2005, initially involved in corporate teambuilding events. Slipper came into her life about ten years ago and filled it with joy, which she is now ready to share.

Filomena Ianni

Filomena is trained as a counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered counselling psychologist. She has worked in Mental Health and educational settings since 1996, while also in independent practice since 1997. She runs a therapeutic counselling practice called Full Circle based in Sowerby Bridge and Hebden Bridge and facilitates a variety of personal development workshops.

She believes in one's self-healing capabilities and in offering the space to contact those abilities and to operate change at whatever level possible. Filo is passionate about the many creative, embodied ways in which we express, know ourselves and grow and therefore incorporates working with body, arts, rhythm and non verbal expression in her practice. The opportunity to work with the help of highly intuitive animals such as horses has added a new exciting dimension to this and is to her a source of continuous challenge, humility and joy.
